Employment Law
Employment Law in all its aspects is an absolute minefield for Employers who can, in the absence of access to good advice, find themselves in an often complicated and potentially expensive dispute with an Employee.
It is important to have appropriate Contracts of Employment in place and, of course, procedures which not only comply with the law but also offer a framework for dealing with disputes.
Most important of all is speedy access to good advice and guidance from an expert.
At our firm, we believe in “preventative medicine”, ie taking advice before action rather than acting first and asking afterwards “Did I do the right thing?”.
Most employment problems can be managed and should not result in a hearing before a Tribunal. Even if a Tribunal Hearing proves unavailable, however, taking advice right from the outset can minimise the risk of an adverse outcome.
For the Employee, it is often a case of “David and Goliath” with the Employee, despite the existence of an enormous body of employment law legislation intended to enhance and protect the Employee’s position.
If you have a serious problem with your Employer, then it pays to take early advice so that you can be made fully aware of the options available to you. |
- Unfair Dismissal
- Redundancy
- Contracts of Employment
- Discrimination (of all kinds, race, gender, age, disability etc.)
- Employees Rights
- Policy’s and procedures
- Pay and reward policies
